Angry Birds 2, Bowmasters & Crossy Road Mods

This week is three phone classics you can pick up for five minutes and lose an hour to: fling birds at a pig fortress, win a duel with one perfect throw, hop across one more road. All three have been on the App Store for a decade or more, and all three still sell gems, coins and characters on top of the game. In these builds that part stops mattering. No subscriptions, no waiting. Download any of them as an IPA and install on your iPhone in one tap, no PC and no developer account of your own.

Angry Birds 2

Angry Birds 2 is Rovio’s sequel to the 2009 original. It soft-launched in Canada in March 2015 as Angry Birds: Under Pigstruction, went worldwide on July 30, 2015, and passed 20 million downloads within its first week. The slingshot is the same, the levels are not: each one runs over several stages, you choose which bird goes next, and spells such as the chili pepper or the blizzard can rescue a bad shot. Boss pigs, daily challenges, clans and the Arena keep it going between levels. The sequel was also criticised at launch for its microtransactions, and that’s still where the friction is. You get five lives; when they run out you wait 30 minutes, watch an ad or pay in-game currency, and the App Store sells gem packs from $0.99 to $20.99. Download the Angry Birds 2 IPA for iPhone and that pressure goes away.

What’s unlocked: the current build (version 26.7.1, October 2026) adds a freeze-currencies cheat. Your balance stays where it is while you play, so spending doesn’t bring it down. That’s the one change in this build; the levels, bosses and Arena are the normal game. Our listing notes that an iOSGods account is required to use it.

Bowmasters

Bowmasters GET

Bowmasters is Playgendary’s duel game, on the App Store since August 2016 and rated 4.5 stars there from about 1.9 million ratings. Two characters face off, you take turns aiming a throw, and every hit lands with rag-doll physics and an over-the-top finishing move. There are more than 60 characters and more than 60 weapons, online duels against players around the world, matches with friends, and side modes where you shoot birds or fruit for rewards. The App Store version carries ads and sells gem packs, starter packs, individual characters, a $3.99 No Ads purchase and a $7.99 premium subscription. Download the Bowmasters IPA for iPhone and gems stop being the thing you wait for.

What’s unlocked: a cheat menu with One Hit Kill, Never Die and Instant Kill (the build’s notes say to switch that one on when it’s your turn), plus Unlimited Coins and Unlimited Gems to spend on characters. The notes for version 11.6.5 don’t list ad removal, so expect the ads from the store version to stay. Online duels put you against real players, and a modified client can get an account flagged or banned there: switch the cheats on with an account you don’t mind losing, or keep them for the offline modes.

Crossy Road

Crossy Road GET

Crossy Road comes from Hipster Whale, a small Australian studio founded by Matt Hall and Andy Sum. The team planned six weeks for it and spent about twelve; it reached iOS on 20 November 2014, and three months later it had earned more than $10 million from over 50 million downloads. You hop a chicken forward across roads, rivers and train tracks in a world that never ends, and swipe to step sideways or back. Hundreds of other characters change the world around them: the Astronaut, for example, hops through space between asteroids. Coins come from playing, from a free gift every few hours and from watching ads, and 100 coins buy one spin of the prize machine for a random character. Some characters can only be bought, and the App Store listing still shows advertising. Download the Crossy Road IPA for iPhone and the whole collection is yours without a spin.

What’s unlocked: unlimited coins, God mode, a score hack worth 100 points per jump, every character unlocked and no ads, in version 7.14.1 (October 2026). Our listing notes that an iOSGods account is required. It’s the same game you’ll find in our list of iPhone games without ads, and the advice from there holds: leave God mode and the score hack off if you want your high score to mean something.

How to install

All three install from builds.io like a normal App Store download: tap GET, install, play. No PC, and no developer account of your own to keep alive. When you add a new device, Apple runs a one-time “processing” step: most devices are ready within a day, and some take up to three days while Apple works through them. It happens once, and every install after that is instant.

Last week the battles were fought with one finger: The Battle Cats, Tap Titans 2 and Castle Clashers. For more games with the grind taken out, genre by genre, see hacked games for iPhone and what each mod unlocks.
