The Battle Cats, Tap Titans 2 & Castle Clashers Mods

This week is about battles you fight with one finger: an army of odd little cats rolling across the screen, a sword that swings every time you tap, and a castle on wheels trading cannon fire with another player. Each of them is free and simple to play, and each of them slows you down with money: the battle wallet empties before your best cat is on the field, the next upgrade costs more gold than the last stage paid, the hero you want is still locked. In these builds the currency stops being the bottleneck. No subscriptions, no waiting. Download any of them as an IPA and install on your iPhone in one tap, no PC and no developer account of your own.

The Battle Cats

The Battle Cats comes from PONOS, a Kyoto company founded in 1990 as an image-processing firm. The game started in Japan as Nyanko Daisensou in November 2012, the English version reached the App Store in September 2014, and by early 2015 the Japanese, English and Korean editions had passed 17 million downloads together. It is a side-scrolling tower defence: your base sits on one side, the enemy’s on the other, and you tap cat portraits to send units marching across. Each battle runs on a wallet that fills over time, so the strongest cats are often the ones you can’t afford to deploy yet, and the Cat Cannon is there for when enemies get too close. Between battles, XP levels your cats up, Cat Food pays for capsules with rare cats, and the long game is evolving favourites into their True Forms.

What’s unlocked: infinite Cash in battle, so the wallet never holds back a deployment, plus infinite Cat Food and EXP for capsules and levelling. There is also a one-hit kill option that the build’s notes describe as linked to enemies, so try it on an easy stage before you rely on it. Everything is switched on from the iGameGod menu. This one comes from iOSGods, and our listing notes you need an iOSGods account to use it.

Tap Titans 2

Game Hive, a Toronto studio, put out the original Tap Titans in December 2014 and released the sequel on the App Store in December 2016. Every tap is a sword swing from Sword Master, heroes you hire keep hitting while you rest, and the stages climb past 150,000 levels across 14 hand-drawn realms. The real game starts with Prestige: you reset your run in exchange for artifacts that make the next run faster, and you do it again and again. On top of that sit clan raids against Titan Lords, cards, pets, equipment sets and tournaments. Gold buys every hero and Sword Master upgrade, and mana fuels the active skills such as Heavenly Strike and Shadow Clone, so a push usually stops when one of the two runs out.

What’s unlocked: an in-game iOSGods mod menu with Freeze Gold and Freeze Mana, so spending doesn’t take anything away, a x10 Gold Drop, and a Damage Multiplier on top of your current damage. As with The Battle Cats, our listing notes that an iOSGods account is required.

Castle Clashers

Castle Clashers GET

If you search the App Store for Castle Clashers, you won’t find it under that name any more: the game is now called Castle Busters. It’s the same app from the same publisher, Voodoo, the French studio best known for hyper-casual hits, and it has been on the App Store since May 2025, where it now holds around 4.6 stars from more than 100,000 ratings. Each match is a 1v1 duel against a real player, with two castles on wheels and turns spent aiming artillery across the arena. Walls and towers break apart under fire, so every shot opens a new angle, and you win by taking out the whole enemy crew or reducing their castle to rubble. Between matches you draft heroes whose abilities combine, design and fortify your own castle, and climb Trophy Road towards Ranked mode. New heroes and upgrades are what take time.

What’s unlocked: damage and defence multipliers for your units, Unit God Mode, unlimited currencies, all units unlocked, and no ads. The unit unlock and the cheat menu both sit behind the Settings button. The build comes from iOSGods, and its notes ask you to enable only one feature at a time.

How to install

All three install from builds.io like a normal App Store download: tap GET, install, start tapping. No PC, and no developer account of your own to keep alive. When you add a new device, Apple runs a one-time “processing” step: most devices are ready within a day, and some take up to three days while Apple works through them. It happens once, and every install after that is instant.

Last week was a hunt rather than a battle: Sniper 3D, Jurassic World Alive and Trophy Hunter. For more games with the grind taken out, genre by genre, see hacked games for iPhone and what each mod unlocks.
