The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead: Aftermath landed on 16 July 2026 — a free-to-play roguelite from Ares Interactive’s Swift Games, the studio behind Heroes vs. Hordes, published by AMC Games. You take a run as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon or Michonne, cut through walker herds and bosses across Hershel’s Farm, Woodbury and Alexandria, and spend whatever you scavenge on base-building between runs. That is the honest deal a roguelite offers: early runs end fast, and the meta-progression that fixes it wants a great many of them. Heroll: Roguelike RPG
Heroll settles every fight with a dice roll. You move around a looping board, trip random events, recruit pets that fight, heal and buff for you, and push each run for a higher score before the luck turns. It is a genuinely funny little roguelike, and like most of them it is also an ad delivery system — the interruptions and the VIP tier sit exactly where the momentum builds. What’s unlocked: VIP status, the speed setting and no ads, with damage, defence and currency multipliers on top — and the currency multiplier disables itself while you spend, so your economy stays coherent instead of collapsing into a single infinite number.
Dinosaur Universe
Dinosaur Universe: A Jurassic RPG Adventure puts you in charge of the last raptor pack, hunting hidden eggs across a prehistoric map, hatching and evolving new dinosaurs, and holding your territory against a Tyrannosaurus and its minions. The idle framing means progress accrues while you are away — and, as ever, the evolution paths worth seeing sit behind currency the idle loop hands out in teaspoons. Horizon Walker
Horizon Walker is a turn-based RPG about humanity’s last stand against the Forsaken Gods pouring out of dimensional Rifts. You recruit fighters from beyond the Rifts, position a squad through tactical battles, and follow romance storylines threaded through a dark campaign that keeps unlocking hidden character content. Tactics games live or die on how freely you can experiment, and this one gates experiments behind repeat attempts at the same encounter. What’s unlocked: damage and defence multipliers — hit harder and survive longer, which in practice means you get to try the risky squad composition instead of grinding the safe one.
