Naruto Games on iPhone in 2026: What's Live, What's Gone

Updated Oct 21, 2026

Search the App Store for a Naruto mobile game in October 2026 and the list looks thin. The two biggest Naruto games ever made for phones are gone: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing closed in February 2021, and Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage followed in December 2024. Both were free to play, both were Bandai Namco’s, and neither left anything behind that you can still open.

What’s left is a short list, and it’s better than it looks. There’s a paid console port, an Apple Arcade edition, a new card-battle game and a crossover inside a shooter. Blazing itself is running again, on a server fans built after Bandai switched theirs off. Below: every Naruto game you can play on iPhone right now, the ones that shut down and when, the Naruto games that never left China or the browser, and the fan-run Blazing build in our catalog, with what it is and what to watch out for.

The 30-second answer

  • Best Naruto game on the App Store: NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM, a $12.99 port of the 3D fighting game. It’s single-player and plays offline.
  • Have Apple Arcade? Ultimate Ninja STORM+ is the same game with two extra fighters and controller support, included in the subscription.
  • Free and online: NARUTO: Ninja Cards, a new card-battle game where matches last three minutes.
  • Naruto Blazing: Bandai Namco shut it down in February 2021. A fan server called Blazing Online has brought it back. It’s unofficial, and its own client is in our catalog.
  • Ninja Voltage: shut down on December 9, 2024. No revival.
  • Naruto Mobile: the Tencent game has been China-only since 2016. A worldwide release was announced on October 10, 2026, with no date yet.

Naruto games on the App Store right now

We searched the US App Store for “naruto” on October 21, 2026. Four Naruto games came up, plus wallpaper apps and unrelated ninja games.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM

The closest thing to a “real” Naruto game on iPhone. It’s a port of Bandai Namco’s 3D arena fighter, the first game of the Storm series, which started on PlayStation 3 in 2008. It came to iOS and Android in September 2024 as a paid game, not a free-to-play one: $12.99 in the US.

It covers Naruto’s childhood, the original series before Shippuden. Ultimate Mission Mode lets you walk around the Hidden Leaf Village and replay the big fights from the story, with mini-games on the side. Free Battle gives you 25 playable characters and 10 support characters. The phone version adds tap-to-cast jutsu, a choice between casual and manual controls, auto-save and a retry button for missions.

Bandai Namco’s own notes say it’s single-player only, with no online multiplayer, and that after the first download it plays offline. The App Store listing warns there are no refunds and asks you to check device compatibility before you buy. Plan for about 3.5 GB of free space. NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM on the App Store.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+ (Apple Arcade)

The same game in an Apple Arcade edition, out since December 4, 2025. It adds Zabuza and Haku as playable fighters (27 in total), the Great Naruto Bridge as a battle stage, a rematch button and other small fixes. It supports a gamepad and runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. If you already pay for Apple Arcade, this is the one to get: there’s nothing extra to pay. NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM+ on the App Store.

NARUTO: Ninja Cards

The newest one, and the only Naruto game on the App Store that’s free and online. It’s an officially licensed card game from Sekai, released in the US App Store in February 2026. You place cards across three lanes and time your chakra to trigger jutsu, and every match is over in three minutes or less. Card seasons follow the story arc by arc: season 1 was the Land of Waves, season 2 the Chunin Exams.

It’s a collection game, so the usual applies: the shop sells random packs, and the listing says everything can also be unlocked for free with time. It has around 1,900 ratings in the US store, averaging 4.6. NARUTO: Ninja Cards on the App Store.

Free Fire x NARUTO SHIPPUDEN

Not a Naruto game, but you’ll see it in the search results. Garena’s battle royale is running a Naruto crossover again: the Hidden Leaf Village on the map, ninjutsu scrolls such as Rasengan and Chidori, and Nine Tails events during matches. If you already play Free Fire, it’s Naruto content in a game you know. If you’re looking for a Naruto game, it isn’t one. Free Fire on the App Store.

The Naruto mobile games that shut down

Free-to-play games live on servers, and when the publisher turns the servers off, the game stops opening, even if it’s still installed. That has now happened to both of Bandai Namco’s big Naruto phone games.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Blazing (2016–2021)

Blazing launched in Japan in July 2016 and in English in August 2016. It was a turn-based RPG with a gacha: you pulled ninja from the whole series, ranked them up through awakenings and limit breaks, and positioned your team on the battlefield turn by turn. It had Story, Emergency Missions, Ninja Road, Phantom Castle and a PvP mode, and it passed 10 million downloads within its first year.

In December 2020, Bandai Namco announced the end. The Japanese version shut down on February 9, 2021, and the English version on February 8, 2021 (Anime News Network). Bandai Namco didn’t give a public reason. Today, searching the App Store for “naruto blazing” doesn’t find it.

Naruto x Boruto: Ninja Voltage (2017–2024)

Ninja Voltage (Ninja Borutage in Japan) launched worldwide on November 22, 2017. It mixed fortress-raid strategy with 3D action: you built a ninja fortress, defended it and attacked other players’ fortresses with a team of characters from both Naruto and Boruto. It ran for seven years.

Bandai Namco announced the closure in October 2024 and switched off in-app purchases right away. Servers closed on December 9, 2024. Japan’s Game Watch listed the Japanese version among the games ending service that day (Game Watch). As with Blazing, there was no official reason.

Naruto: Slugfest, the MMO that never reached the US App Store

Slugfest was a 3D open-world MMORPG built on the Naruto license, announced in 2019, with the Japanese rights holders supervising. Pre-registration for iOS and Android opened in March 2020, with a spring launch planned (Anime News Network). We couldn’t confirm that it ever launched in the West, and it isn’t on the US App Store today.

Is Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on iPhone?

No. Only the first Storm game has a mobile version. Storm 2, Storm 3, Storm 4 and Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections are console and PC games: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Windows. None of them has an iOS release. The Storm port on the App Store ends where the original series ends, so there are no Shippuden arcs in it.

Naruto Mobile and Naruto Online: the China and browser games

Two more names show up in every “naruto mobile game” search, and neither is on the US App Store.

Naruto Mobile (火影忍者 in Chinese) is Tencent’s Naruto fighting game, which has been on the Chinese App Store since January 2016 and is still updated there. Outside China it has never been released. That changed on paper on October 10, 2026: the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” panel at New York Comic Con announced a worldwide release of Naruto Mobile, with more details promised at Jump Festa on December 19–20, 2026 (Anime News Network). There’s no release date yet, so for now any global “Naruto Mobile” download is unofficial.

Naruto Online is a turn-based MMORPG that runs in the browser. Oasis Games has published it in the West since 2016. There’s no standalone Naruto Online app on the US App Store. On iPhone, the official route is still the browser.

Naruto Blazing is back: the fan server Blazing Online

Blazing didn’t stay dead. A fan project called Blazing Online now runs its own server for the game, and credits the Project:Rebirth community for much of the recovered game data. It runs on the original Ultimate Ninja Blazing app, set up to connect to the new server instead of Bandai Namco’s. The project’s site says it isn’t affiliated with Bandai Namco, Masashi Kishimoto, Shueisha, Studio Pierrot or TV Tokyo.

What the server has running right now, by its own description:

  • Story, Emergency Missions and Ninja Road, the main PvE content, back online.
  • Summons with Ninja Pearls, on step-up banners.
  • Co-op and Ultimate Showdown, with iPhone players matched against other iPhone players.
  • A weekly update on Sundays and a recurring league schedule. The server is labelled a closed test.

A few practical things to know. The game is online-only. Accounts are tied to Discord: you have to be in the project’s Discord server to play, you sign in with your Discord account, and that’s also how you move an account to a new phone. The first launch downloads about 220 MB of game data, so use Wi-Fi.

On iPhone, the project’s own instructions are to download the IPA and sign it yourself with ESign, SideStore, AltStore or Sideloadly, using your own Apple ID. With SideStore, AltStore and Sideloadly that copy has to be refreshed every 7 days (why that limit exists).

Blazing Online in our catalog

GET

The build in our catalog is the Blazing Online project’s own client for iPhone, version 2.28.0 (app build 17), exactly as the project publishes it. Nothing is added or changed: the characters, the missions, the summons and your account all come from the Blazing Online server, and you sign in with Discord like everyone else. What builds.io changes is only the install — one tap instead of signing the IPA yourself, and no 7-day refresh.

One honest warning before you tap GET. Blazing Online is a volunteer project in a closed test. Its terms say servers can go down and data can be reset or rolled back, and an unofficial server only lasts as long as the people running it keep it going. Don’t put anything into it that you’d hate to lose, and follow the server’s rules — they’re the project’s, not ours.

Naruto news in 2026: the live-action movie and what’s next

The other reason Naruto is everywhere this autumn is a run of announcements.

The live-action movie. Lionsgate is making a live-action Naruto film, written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi, Spider-Man: Brand New Day). The project was first reported with Cretton attached in February 2024. In July 2026, Lionsgate and Cretton launched a worldwide casting search for the three members of Team 7: Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura. Other roles will be cast later. Masashi Kishimoto’s reaction in the announcement: “My work, NARUTO, is truly, truly becoming a Hollywood movie!” In August 2026, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Charles Melton (May December, Beef) was in final negotiations to play Kakashi, with filming aimed at around February 2027 (Anime News Network). Lionsgate hasn’t confirmed that casting, and there’s no release date.

New anime, new manga, Naruto Mobile. At New York Comic Con on October 10, 2026 (Naruto’s birthday), the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” panel announced a limited anime series, NARUTO×NINKŪ, a crossover with the 1990s manga that Kishimoto says inspired Naruto. It also announced a new Naruto manga by Kishimoto himself, the worldwide release of Naruto Mobile mentioned above, and a Bandai trading card game for June 2027 (Anime News Network). None of it changes what you can play on an iPhone today, but a global release would put Naruto Mobile in the US App Store for the first time.

Blazing isn’t the first game a publisher pulled from phones while people still wanted to play it. Infinity Blade went the same way in 2018. For anime to watch between missions, free anime apps for iPhone.

How to install Blazing Online on iPhone

The client isn’t on the App Store. It installs from the catalog in one tap, with no PC and no developer account of your own:

  1. Register your iPhone at builds.io by entering one UDID in the browser.
  2. Open the Blazing Online page and tap GET. It installs like a normal download.
  3. If the first launch says “processing”, that’s Apple’s signing queue, not an error. Most devices are ready within a day, and some take up to three. It only happens once (what the wait is).
  4. Join the Blazing Online Discord and sign in with Discord on the title screen. That’s the project’s requirement, not ours, and it’s what keeps your account if you change phones.

The game then stays signed for as long as your subscription runs, so there’s no weekly refresh from a computer.
