Drops
Drops teaches vocabulary through short, game-like lessons, and this page lets you download the Drops IPA for iPhone with the subscription unlocked. The changelog notes the build is meant for iOS 17.6 and later. What is Drops? The App Store lists it as Drops: Language Learning Games, under Education, from PLANB LABS OU. The app has been around since November 2014. Its approach is to replace long grammar chapters with quick visual rounds: every word has its own illustration, which makes it stick, and you swipe and match your way through topics instead of reading explanations. The language list is wide. The developer mentions more than 55 languages, among them Spanish, Japanese, French, Korean, Chinese, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian and Hindi, and the vocabulary list is curated by hand with over 3,000 words and phrases. For languages with their own scripts, such as Hindi, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, there are lessons that teach you to read the characters. Recordings come from professional voice artists with correct dialect pronunciations, and you can track progress, collect rewards and move from beginner to expert levels.Beyond the big languages the list reaches smaller ones too, such as Icelandic, Basque, Esperanto, Maori, Welsh and Yoruba, and even American Sign Language. Goals and achievements are part of the loop: you set a target, earn rewards for reaching it and watch your level rise. What the Drops tweak unlocksSubscription unlocked, so the premium learning features open without payingThe full lesson set from the paid tierIllustrated vocabulary, native pronunciation and script lessons as in the originalProgress tracking and rewards unchangedPrice and requirementsIn the App Store the app is free, with a Drops Premium upgrade offered through a seven-day free trial and an auto-renewing subscription.
