What is Wall Genie?

Wall Genie, listed in the App Store as Wall Genie - Create Wallpapers, comes from the developer rakTech LLC and is filed under Graphics & Design. It is built for the iPhone only and is positioned as a privacy-focused wallpaper creator with a community attached. The store page stresses privacy: it promises no advertising, no identity tracking and no account login.

Creating a wallpaper means setting a few properties rather than typing a prompt. You choose a style that guides the final form, one of fifteen colour themes, and a key element that ties the picture together. The style list is long and ranges from circles, spirals and waves to marble, bokeh, fractals and minimalist looks. The developers say these fixed properties keep the results predictable and safe while still making each image unique. Images are portrait and high resolution, generated with the gpt-image-1.5 model.

Then there is the community side. You can publish your own creations, browse what others made, upvote your favourites and download them. Automation is covered too: the newest free community wallpaper can be applied by voice command or through the Shortcuts app.

What the Wall Genie tweak unlocks

• The paid plan is no longer required to generate wallpapers or download them
• Unlimited downloads of community wallpapers, where free accounts normally receive only every seventh one
• All premium wallpapers and creation tools open without subscription prompts
• Style, colour and element selection work as designed, with no restrictions

Version and requirements

According to the store page, generating and downloading normally needs an active subscription, and this build removes that barrier. The App Store version is free to download, rated 4+, and needs iOS 17.0 or newer. It has been available since April 2024, and its latest notes mention the upgrade to the gpt-image-1.5 model, better queue handling for the rare delays and general fixes.
