What is Pokémon Friends?

The game is published by The Pokemon Company and arrived on the App Store in July 2025, filed under Games, Puzzle and Family. The setting is Think Town, a village whose plush-loving residents have lost some of their joy. Each puzzle you finish gives yarn, and the yarn is turned into plush versions of Pokémon that join your collection.

The store lists more than 1,200 puzzles, from short brainteasers to ones that need real thought. The game has a daily rhythm too: you stamp a calendar for the day's puzzles and then browse the catalog of friends you have knitted so far. Separately from the puzzles, there is a decorating side, where furniture, wallpaper and plush items are used to arrange your own plush room.

Up to five save files are supported, so a family can share one phone, and extra content is sold as DLC in the in-game shop. The game requires an internet connection and recommends at least 3GB of RAM.

The App Store version is free to start with optional purchases, needs iOS 16.0 or later and is rated 4+. Its latest notes say only that certain bugs were fixed. According to the changelog, the single change in this build is the removal of the daily untangle limit. DLC content in the original remains something the store sells separately, and the game should not be bought for children without a parent's agreement.
