What is AR Code Object Capture?

The app is made by AR Code Pte. Ltd. and listed under Graphics and Design with Photo and Video as a second genre; its full App Store title is AR Code Object Capture 3D Scan. It has been available since November 2019. It is a capture tool for 3D models and, at the same time, a generator of AR QR codes, and it runs on iPhone, iPad and Macs with Apple silicon.

The scanning flow is guided. If your device has a LiDAR sensor, the app uses it to read geometry directly; without LiDAR, photos are processed by cloud photogrammetry to produce a detailed model. A newer option called AR Splat uses Gaussian Splatting for scans that look photorealistic, including transparent and reflective materials that ordinary photogrammetry struggles with.

Once a model exists, one tap creates an AR QR code. Anyone who scans it can view the object in their space without installing another app, which is handy for product demos, teaching and portfolios. The code can be restyled to match a brand, and an in-AR banner can be customised to engage viewers during the experience.
