About Social Stats

The App Store name is Social Stats Widget: Followers, and the developer is Innovative Digital Technologies Limited. It is filed under Social Networking and Utilities. The concept is a pure widget: you type the username of a public account, place the widget on the home screen and the follower number refreshes there without you opening any social app.

No login is needed. The app only asks for a username, which means no credentials are stored and nothing about your own accounts is exposed. You can add several usernames and pick which one a given widget displays. Because only a public username is needed, it suits tracking your own channel just as well as someone else's, such as a creator you follow or a brand you work with.

Adding a widget follows the usual iOS routine: enter jiggle mode, choose the Social Stats widget, press and hold to edit it, and select the username you saved in the app. Some data sources are limited to the full version, which the store sells as a one-time payment in the settings.
