About Where Winds Meet

The game is published by NetEase Interactive Entertainment and sits under Games in the App Store. You begin as a humble village wanderer and rise toward the position of sword master in the imperial capital, learning who you really are along the way. The setting is ancient China, in the tenth-century period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms.

The developer says it is free to play across PS5, PC and mobile, with cross-play and cross-progression, and that monetisation is limited to cosmetic items, so gameplay content is not sold. The world mixes open landscapes, hidden ruins and layered underground catacombs. More than 30 mystic arts can be learned, with Tai Chi at the gentle end and Lion's Roar at the forceful one, and sixteen systems, including crafting, architecture, astronomy, folk games, performance and medicine, make up a living ancient society.

Combat can be melee, ranged or stealthy. The weapon list includes sword and spear, twin blades, rope dart, bow, fan and even an umbrella, and you can switch between them mid-fight.
