Fishing is calm until the fog rolls in: DREDGE is a fishing adventure with a creeping sense of dread, and you can download the DREDGE IPA for iPhone with the full game and its DLC opened from the first launch.

What is DREDGE?

The game is made by Black Salt Games and came to the App Store in February 2025, in the Games section under Roleplaying and Adventure. You captain a fishing trawler around the remote isles of an archipelago called The Marrows. Each region has its own residents, wildlife and secrets, and the quests you take on reveal why the area has a troubled past. Someone wants you to dig up that past, and the game keeps asking whether to trust them.

The loop is part fishing, part survival. You catch more than 125 deep sea creatures and curios, sell the haul to the locals, research special equipment and upgrade the boat to reach trenches and far-off lands. Time matters, because the biggest dangers are in the fog that covers the sea at night, along with sharp rocks and shallow reefs. Quests also hand out strange new abilities, so the world opens up the further you go. The pitch is to unravel a mystery, study your craft by researching equipment, and fish to survive: you sell what you find to learn more about each area, then upgrade the boat to reach more secluded places.

Install note and requirements

The changelog gives one setup step: use the reset-all-controls option in Settings, under Controls, to apply the changes. In the original, the first area is free to try and a one-time purchase unlocks the base game, with the expansions sold separately. The App Store version needs iOS 13.0 or later, has a 12+ age rating and its latest note adds deep link support.
