About Wednesdays

Wednesdays was created by ARTE Experience, and the App Store lists it as Wednesdays Mobile in the Games section. It was released in March 2026 and carries a 17+ rating. The script is by Pierre Corbinais, who also worked on Haven, Road 96: Prologue and Bury Me, My Love.

The story follows Tim, who plays a childhood video game called Orco Park as an adult. Playing it brings back memories of having been a victim of sexual abuse, along with questions about how it happened and what normal means. The game treats the topic in a restrained way: the developers state there is no graphic depiction, and the emphasis is on trust, hope and healing.

Structure comes from the park. You build rides and decorations in Orco Park, and doing so opens Tim's memories in whatever order you choose, while you also take the perspective of his relatives to piece the past together. Two art styles keep the strands apart: the memories are drawn by comic artist Exaheva, and the park uses pixel art by Nico Nowak in the style of 1990s games.

Accessibility and requirements

Accessibility was planned from the start. The game offers five text sizes, the highly legible Luciole font, a separate zoom setting for Orco Park, text that advances by hand or on its own at a speed you choose, and it never asks for fast or precise input. The official release is free, needs iOS 13.0 or later, and has a Supporter Edition with an interactive interview with the creators.
