About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Legends

The game is made by Ludia and its App Store name is Ninja Turtles: Legends. It is filed under Games with the Adventure and Roleplaying tags and has been available since May 2016. The plot is an original one: Kraang Prime plans an army of Ultra Mutants and kidnaps mutants, including the other Turtles, who are dragged through a portal to Dimension X.

Leonardo is left to recruit allies and enemies alike. Battles are five against five, and you assemble the squad from a roster of more than thirty characters that you collect and level up. The villains can fight on your side too, with names such as Tiger Claw, Bebop and Rocksteady in the list. Story missions are spread over seven chapters with more than seventy stages, ending in bosses such as Shredder and the Kraang.

Between fights, daily prizes and card packs help the team grow, and some stages take place in locations familiar from the animated series. A limited-time chapter inspired by a Turtles film also appeared in the store text, which shows how the developer keeps adding events. Because the roster is large and the evolution and skill upgrade paths normally eat DNA and gear, the order in which you spend those resources shapes the whole game, which is exactly the part this build relaxes.
