What the hack adds

This iOS mod adds a freeze currencies cheat, letting you lock in your in-game currency values while you play. Requires Game Center to connect; if Game Center can’t be used, the game may stay on the loading screen.

Building a forest village is more fun when the bill never comes: Smurfs' Village is the classic Smurf town-builder, and you can download the Smurfs' Village IPA for iPhone with your currencies frozen at their current level.

What is Smurfs' Village?

The game is made by Garden City Games and launched in November 2010, so it is one of the veterans of the App Store, filed under Games with entertainment, family and adventure tags. The story starts after the wizard Gargamel and his cat Azrael find the village and scatter the Smurfs through the enchanted forest. You help the family build a new home from a single mushroom house on a small plot of land.

From there it is a gentle builder. You harvest smurfberries, put up huts, mushroom houses and bridges, and decorate with gardens, lights, flower chairs and hammocks. Familiar characters such as Papa Smurf, Smurfette and Brainy guide the way. Mini-games run while your village grows, including a baking game, a potion mixing game, a painting game and a fishing game. You can create a Smurf ID, add friends, send gifts, rate other villages and try to become a Featured Village, and everything can be managed offline. The mini-games give bonuses, and a free Handy Smurf game unlocks more of them. Smurfberries are the speed-up currency, which the original sells as in-app purchases to hurry crops along.

Version and requirements

The changelog adds one condition: the mod requires Game Center to connect. The App Store version is free, runs on iOS 15.0 or later and has a 4+ age rating. Its latest update introduced Bricklayer Smurf, whose hut unlocks classic items, along with a few new decorations and a floating tea cup wonder.
