About Overwinter Survival

The game is made by Fatih Beceren and was released in November 2023, in the App Store's Games section under Card and Adventure. After your plane fails for reasons nobody explains, you wake on the glaciers of Greenland and find a cabin nearby. From that stove-warmed base you must hunt, craft and keep the fire going, because the cold is the real opponent.

The tension comes from scarcity: fuel for the stove, food from fishing and hunting, and tools from the workshop all compete for the single card you can play each round. Everything you do is decided by cards. Each round you can use only one of the cards you are dealt, so the choice of what to play, and what to leave in hand, is the whole strategy. Decks are generated at random, which means two journeys never match and a plan that worked last time may fail now. Between the draws you fish in the icy water, hunt with a spear and make an axe at the workshop, working your way toward becoming a lumberjack. The end goal is human: repair the plane and go back to your family.

Price and requirements

On the App Store the game costs $0.99, which is the price this build lets you skip. It asks for iOS 16.6 or later and has a 9+ age rating. The most recent update is a small bug-fix note. Since the purchase unlock is the only change, survival itself stays as hard as the original makes it.
