How Gear Defenders plays

The game comes from MOBIBRAIN TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD., arrived on the App Store in January 2025, and sits under Games with Adventure and Strategy tags. The pitch is a mix of idle collection and tactical placement. Every troop is a gear in a machine, and you arrange them around a Power Core that keeps producing combat units, so the layout of the fortress decides how strong the defence is.

More than ten troop types can be unlocked, among them infantry, archers, shield bearers and magic knights. Each has its own skills and upgrade path, and you level up, enhance and evolve them until a plain squad becomes an elite unit. Over a hundred levels send the army against goblins with traps, mummies with dark magic and yetis that rely on strength, across terrain from narrow canyons to broad plains.

The loop is fast to learn. You drag troops into position, test a combination, and change it when a new enemy faction shows up. A casual player can treat it as a relaxed puzzle of placement, while a stricter strategist can chase the best troop mix for each map.
