The idea behind Forest is a small trick on yourself: a virtual tree grows only while you leave the phone alone. Download the Forest IPA for iPhone and use the focus timer with its paid tier already unlocked, so the extras are open from the first session.

About Forest

A session works like this: you set a time, a seed is planted and it grows into a tree. Leave the app early and the tree withers. Over days the trees add up into a visual forest that you can review by week, month or year, and tags let you see where your focused time goes. Focus time can also sync with Apple Health.

Allow Lists block distracting apps during a session on iOS 16 and later, Time Guard sets phone-free windows on a schedule, and Mindful Space offers soundscapes and breathing exercises between sessions. Social features let you plant with friends and family, and milestones unlock new tree species and soundscapes. The developer also partners with Trees for the Future so that coins can turn into real trees.
