About Vampire Survivors

The game comes from the developer Poncle and has been on the App Store since August 2024. In the developer's own words it is a casual game with gothic horror styling and rogue-lite elements, billed as a supernatural indie hit in which you play the part of the bullet hell. The premise is short and grim: hell has emptied out and its devils have come for you, so the only goal is to outlast the night while thousands of creatures arrive.

You collect gold during each run and spend it on upgrades that help the next survivor. A run lasts until you fall or dawn arrives, and the cycle of dying, spending gold and trying again is what drives your progress. Your choices early on can snowball quickly against the hundreds of monsters coming at you, so the first few minutes matter. The store also supplies a few starting tips. Take your time to pick up gems and items, since they do not disappear. Start with two or three attacking weapons, yet upgrade them in turn rather than all at once; Armour and Luck are sensible first purchases. Refund power-ups often, because it is free, and try other upgrade paths.

What is new and what to expect

The latest release notes add Legacy of the Bloodmoon, which brings a new stage, new weapons, new characters and new music tracks, along with general bug fixes. The listing shows no standalone price, and the bundle id marks this as the Apple Arcade version. It needs iOS 13.0 or later and has a 12+ rating. This page offers the unmodified app.
