What is Fortress Frontlines?

The App Store lists the game as Fortress Frontlines: Card TD, published by Jet-Play under Games. It combines two genres that rarely meet: tower defense and a roguelike deck builder. Enemy waves come at your base without end, and you answer them with a deck of heroes and cards. The store page says that no two runs are alike, so what you draw and where you place it decide each battle.

Strategy is about synergy. Heroes work best when positioned next to the right partners, and rare cards raise the strength of attacks and defences. You are also expected to read the field: enemies have weaknesses, and a counter built for one wave may be wrong for the next. Levels grow harder as you advance, so a deck that was fine earlier has to evolve.

Between runs you earn resources to unlock new heroes and skills and to buy permanent upgrades that carry over into future attempts. Several game modes are available, and a global leaderboard ranks players by how far they get. The game first reached the App Store in July 2025, is free and has a 12+ rating.

Using cheats in online matches can lead to a ban, a risk that both the changelog and the original notice mention, so use the cheat at your own discretion. The App Store version needs iOS 13.0 or later, and its latest update fixed an issue where rewards might not be claimed after watching an ad.
