What is Tower Royale?

On the App Store the game is titled Tower Defense PvP: Tower Royale, published by Lightweight Inc since November 2021 under Games, Strategy and Casual. It builds on a simple idea: towers are summoned at random, as if you rolled dice, and you have to make good decisions with whatever lands on the board.

The collection holds 50 kinds of towers, each with its own ability, among them Archer, Random and Legend towers. You build more than one deck, one for PvP clashes and another for defence runs. Battle Mode is the head-to-head format: kill enemies to earn souls, spend them on new towers, and merge matching towers, which carry dots like dice faces, to upgrade them. Defeated monsters reappear on the opponent's side, so speed decides who cracks the other castle first, and a boss raid can interrupt the match.

Royale Mode splits in two. Co-op Mode pairs you with a friend, a clan member or a random partner against waves that keep getting tougher. Mirror Mode hands you and your opponent random decks and castles, so you play with towers you may not own. Outside the matches there is a ranked Battle Arena with daily and monthly rankings, a daily market and quests, and clans for sharing strategies and practising.

Version and requirements

The newest App Store update redraws all 11 bosses with new artwork and animations, turns the Silencer into the Mummy, adds a boss called Melter, makes bosses stop mid-lane to recover HP, makes speed monsters immune to ice slows, and shrinks the download. The game needs iOS 15.0 or later, is free and has a 4+ rating. Since matches are PvP, keep the cheat options in mind when you play online.
