What is End of Winter?

The game is developed by Tailormade Games and filed in the App Store under Games, Adventure and Roleplaying. It is set right after the events of Tower of Winter, the earlier title from the same team, which is also behind Phantom City. The tower that kept the North frozen is gone, but the massive horde of undead it attracted spreads over the whole continent, and every surviving race has to prove its worth in one last stand.

Instead of a classic action screen, you fight your way through a map of events and encounters built from cards. Before a run starts you collect and combine starting cards into your own opening deck, and that choice shapes everything that follows. The studio promises a world far larger and a more punishing environment than in its previous games, so survival depends on planning rather than reflexes.

Replayability is the main selling point. The listing mentions dozens of unique death scenes and several different endings, which is why two runs rarely repeat.

The same update revamped the guide window, raised the reward limit for reaching Act 3 to 70 and added a limited gem pack.
