What is Tool Evolution?

The App Store lists the game as Tool Evolution: Mine & Evolve, published by HOMA GAMES in the Games section with adventure and action tags. It came out in July 2024 and is suitable for ages 4 and up.

You play as a tool rather than a person. The story starts in the Jurassic period, where you help shape a tiny first world, and then moves ahead through the Middle Ages, the Industrial Revolution and finally into futuristic landscapes. At each stop the tool changes form, so a primitive design slowly turns into advanced technology.

The gameplay is an idle mining loop. You harvest resources, manage what you collect, automate parts of the work and craft items that each era demands. Over time a modest camp expands into something much larger, and the planet-sized projects at the end are built from the same loop you began with.
