In The Virus: Zombie Hunter for iOS, you play as a survivor tracking a missing family member while also digging into the source of the outbreak and the possible antidote. Missions take you across different locations, from rural areas to city streets, where you can approach each encounter aggressively or pick off infected targets more carefully. Between runs, you return to a military base hub to meet other survivors, manage equipment, and prepare for the next outing.

The game mixes campaign objectives with side systems that keep the loop moving. You can gather loot hidden in levels, earn currency through objectives, expand your camp, and unlock better gear as you progress. On top of the story missions, there is a wave mode with procedurally generated challenges, plus scavenger recruitment and training for extra rewards. Early Access currently includes part of the planned story, wave content, and shop selection, with more to come later.
