The game is developed by Eastside Games, listed in the App Store under Games with a 4+ rating, and has been available since May 2020. It is free to download. You manage the social life of the teenagers Adam, Barry and Erica Goldberg, whose aim is to climb the school Cool List and turn into the most popular teens in Jenkintown.

As an idle game it runs on tapping and automation. Tapping earns Cool Points and new friends, and upgraded, automated hangouts then keep popularity growing on its own. Characters from the show are gathered as cards, and you level them up with nostalgic items such as VHS tapes, arcade tokens and sunglasses. A rising cool rating opens new hangouts and carries you through the popularity challenges.

There is also a bit of drama: Beverly keeps trying to help, and one wrong step leaves you embarrassed at the bottom of the list. Arcade-style boss fights against Beverly, Murray and Coach Mellor are won by tapping, comedic cutscenes follow storylines from the show, and time-limited live events add 80s themes. After each episode you lose your cool status but keep some nostalgic decoration for your bedroom.
