What is Dead By Extraction?

The App Store lists it as Dead By Extraction by PIXEL RABBIT LIMITED, a 2026 release rated 9+ under Games with Entertainment, Strategy and Roleplaying tags. You play a Scavenger who rummages through dead buildings such as schools, hospitals and houses for relic scrap. The art looks like an ink sketchbook, and the descriptions lean into a mood of crumbling brick and dust.

A run follows three beats: search, fight, escape. You enter a zone, collect materials, defeat ghosts with exorcist tools and find the extraction point before time is up. If you miss the exit, the ruins keep both you and everything you have gathered. The combat layer is roguelike, since defeated ghosts grant memories of power and you pick one of three power-ups in the middle of a fight. Builds can lean towards light, steel or protective charms.

Between descents the game gives you a base. More than fifty Talismanic Tools can be collected, each with a perk tree, and rescued survivors open up shops at your camp, which turns every run into progress for the next one.
