About Modern Ops

The App Store title is Modern Ops: Online Gun FPS from Edkon games GmbH, and it has been available since 2019. The developer describes it as a pure shooter, with no role-playing, survival or casual layers: what counts is aim, positioning and reaction. It positions itself around quick time-to-kill, accurate hit registration and responsive aiming, so headshots and angle control matter.

Matches are played in real time with up to ten players. The modes include 5v5 team matches, classic team firefights and fast deathmatches, and the maps are designed with flanking routes, cover, long sightlines and tight close-quarters zones, so crossfire and timing can beat raw reflexes. Ranked play places you in leagues, with matchmaking that looks at accuracy, kill/death ratio and overall combat impact.

Seasons and requirements

The newest release notes describe Season 32: Dead of Night, a Halloween theme that adds the UZI and TAR-21, an Evil Pumpkin mask, the Undertaker outfit and a new Specialization. Two events follow: Dead of Night from October 13 to 30 and Phantom Hunt from November 6 to 23. The game is free, rated 12+ and needs iOS 15.0 or later.
