About Mist

Mist is made by the developer Anton Nazarov and is listed in the App Store as MIST: Offline Zombie Survival, under Games with Action, Entertainment and Roleplaying as secondary genres. You play a hero who starts as an ordinary person and grows, step by step, into something strong enough to face creatures that have taken over the world. The reason to keep going is personal: the hero is searching for his daughter, and powerful bosses stand on the way to her.

Story choices matter more than the genre label suggests. Along the road you meet the Missourians, survivors trying to get through the chaos, and the dialogue options decide whether they end up beside you or against you. Quests give experience and open new locations, and the game asks a question it never answers for you: can the hero keep his humanity, or does he have to become a monster too?

The action side is built on upgrades. Your character changes visibly as he is improved, you discover superpowers, and you search for resources and totems needed to stay alive. The setting is America of the 1990s, spread over eight separate locations, and fights against hordes and bosses fill the space between story scenes.
