About Jetpack Joyride Racing

Halfbrick Studios, the team behind the original Jetpack Joyride, made this spin-off, and the App Store files it under Games with Entertainment, Casual and Racing as genres. Races are live and can include up to six rivals. You drift through corners, time your boosts and try to overtake, and the controls are kept simple while the skill ceiling for drifting is deliberately high.

Tracks carry three kinds of coloured zones. The purple Slow Zone drags you down, the red Cutout Zone briefly switches your engine off, and the green Charge Zone supercharges your Special Ability. Learning where they sit is part of winning. Circuits borrow locations from the series, such as the Legitimate Research Lab and New Skytown, and come with an original soundtrack.

A Time Trial mode lets you race the clock for a personal best and climb global leaderboards, while Party Mode is for racing with friends. Discord voice chat is built in. The playable cast includes Barry Steakfries and several other series favourites, and cosmetics range from ship trails to emotes. The game runs on Halfbrick+, where cards, quests and rewards are free to collect without a subscription.

Version and requirements

The changelog names exactly two features, insane speed and unlimited boost, and says the updated IPA is for iPhone. The App Store version is free, rated 4+, needs iOS 14.0 or later, and the game first appeared in April 2026. Its latest notes cover general bug fixes and minor improvements.
