This is the first game of the series, published by SQUARE ENIX. The App Store title for this package is FINAL FANTASY+, and the internal name in the package is FF1+. The story is familiar and sturdy. The light inside the four elemental Crystals, earth, fire, water and wind, has gone out, darkness covers the land, and you lead the Warriors of Light to bring power back. You choose classes for your party, change them to improve your characters, and travel the wide world with an airship and other vessels. The remaster keeps that structure and changes how it looks and feels.

The art team includes people from the original production: Kazuko Shibuya, who created the iconic character pixel designs, returns as the artist, and composer Nobuo Uematsu oversaw the rearranged soundtrack. The store text points out that the remaster is based on the 1987 game and that features may differ from earlier re-releases.

Version and requirements

No changelog is attached to this IPA, so it is the same game as the App Store build, and nothing in it is altered by builds.io. On the hardware side, the compatibility list starts at the iPhone 6s and also covers the seventh-generation iPod touch plus iPads from the fifth generation, the Air 2 and the mini 4. The latest release note says minor bugs have been fixed.
