What’s unlocked in this version

This mod for iPhone adds a cheat menu with Damage Multiplier, God Mode, Move Speed Multiplier, and Free In-App Purchases, giving you more control in-game on iOS.

Brotato is a roguelite arena shooter starring a potato, and you can download the Brotato IPA for iPhone here with a cheat menu added. The changelog lists Damage Multiplier, God Mode, Move Speed Multiplier and Free In-App Purchases.

What is Brotato?

The game comes from Erabit Studios and sits under Games in the App Store. The premise is silly and effective: a ship from Potato World has gone down on a hostile alien world, and the only survivor is Brotato, who has to hold off endless hordes until rescue arrives. You fight from a top-down view, with shooting that works automatically and an option to aim by hand.

Runs are short on purpose. Every wave lasts between 20 and 90 seconds, you gather materials, then spend them in a shop on items and weapons before the next one starts. The build system is where the depth lives: hundreds of weapons and items and dozens of traits that stack in strange ways, so you can assemble a deliberately broken combination. Up to six weapons can be carried at once, ranging from submachine guns and flamethrowers to sticks and makeshift gear.

Dozens of characters change the style of a run, with labels such as One-Handed, Lucky, Mage or a crazy damage dealer, so the same stage plays differently each time.

Good to know

The Free In-App Purchases entry in the menu is aimed at the game's paid items, so you do not have to pay for them. The cheat menu sits on top of the normal game, so characters, waves and items stay the same. The developer notes that cloud saves only work online: you can play offline, but that offline progress does not sync to the cloud. The latest notes mention a Wine Festival event running from September 26 to October 12, a better tutorial for new players and bug fixes.

The App Store version is free, rated 9+, requires iOS 15.0 or later and arrived in June 2023. Pick Brotato on builds.io, tap the IPA and it installs on your iPhone in one go, with no computer.
