What is Baker Business 3?

Baker Business 3 was made by Adam Bowles under the Living Code Labs name and has been on the App Store since June 2019, under Games with Simulation and Casual tags. You run a small bakery from scratch: buy ingredients, bake from a growing list of recipes, serve customers who walk in with specific orders, and put the earnings back into the shop.

The recipe book is the main draw. The store text counts more than ninety bakeable recipes, covering cakes, cookies, muffins, doughnuts, cupcakes, bread, coffee, soda, parfaits and juice. Each one calls for a set quantity of real baking ingredients, of which there are more than forty, so stocking the pantry is part of the job. Levelling up lets you buy ingredients in larger batches, which matters once the queue gets long.

You also choose what kind of bakery you are. Research can focus on doughnuts and cookies, lean towards bread and cakes in a traditional style, or spread across every category to sell as many types as possible. Money goes into more ovens, display cases, bread shelves, a tip jar and a snack fridge, and a few secret interactive items are hidden around the shop for curious players.
